Amazing! Jen: Of all of the jewelry on this site this piece is the one that caught my eye. I am just beginning my journey into jewelry making. What process did you use to create this pendant? Thank you for sharing it on this site!

Sea Dream Jewelry: Thank you, I am glad you like it. As for the process...I just looked through the kanji's until this shape jumped out at me. I then went to work with some Sterling Silver wire and built the shape, went through and soldered the seams, then took a hammer to it to flare it out a bit. From there I made a bezel setting for the pearl and fabricated the bail. Soldered these two items into place, cleaned it up and set the pearl. Very simple approach. First thing I ever learned to do was solder wires together. That is all you need to be able to do to complete something like this. Enjoy.
