Pepper Tree Creek

Ah well, it's been awhile since I included one of my childhood tales of inspiration that turned into beaded beauties! Pepper Tree Creek portrays the colors of the creek I passed through on my way to school! The long branches of the pepper trees would often fall to reach the ground and enclose the entire trunk like an umbrella, so you'd have to walk through the branches of the "umbrella" of the tree to get to the other side of the creek! And peering through on a brisk spring day when the earth, trees and leaves were still dewy wet - you could see every color in this bracelet - a lively thrill of mossy green, woodsey browns and a trickle of blue when the stream still flowed lightly - the last remnants of winter blooming into spring! I LOVE the organic style of these lampwork beads combined with natural components in this bracelet that portrays beauty in the raw and mimics the color of life!Lampwork by Catherine Ondrey.

Another one of a kind necklace using stunning moonstone briolette & rondelle beads, showing the different colours of this beautiful gem: grey, white & peach. Beaded on Beadalon Sterling Silver Extreme 925 flex-truly beautiful. Set off with Sterling Silver beads, clasp & findings. Again my photographic skills...or lack of lol doesn't show the sparkle & beauty of this necklace.

All are done with sterling silver wire (unless otherwise specified) and a few of them were used as my submission pieces to be a juried member of the International Guild of Wire Jewelry Artists. A lovely, fresh little pair of springtime earrings! Engaging sterling silver butterflies are joined by faceted rubies, apatite, and amethyst, hand-wrapped in sterling silver wire.

Nubian Queen Ceremony

African Opal bricks and ovals, Swarovski crystals in Topaz and Czech Topaz Fire AB crystals, Natural FW and Saltwater Pearls, Sterling Silver Figaro Chain, SS corrugated and spacer beads, Dendritic Jasper, Sterling Filigree Pearl clasp. Custom-made focal arrangement - the Dendritic Jasper has Druzy inside it...I decided to show it off by stringing a tiny pearl on a Sterling wire and pulling it up and through...Who says only oysters can lay claim to such an event!? Second strand on bail has crystal and natural Pearl. Inside dimension of necklace is 17"; matching dangle earrings are 2". (These earrings match the bail in that the sterling wire goes through one way and swings up to connect with the rest of the jewels!

Nile Green African Opal Focal, surrounded by creamy white Sardonyx chunks, tumbled Aquamarine nuggets, Nile Green Jade beads, FW Pearls, Swarovski and Czech crystals. Sterling Silver beads and Gold filled Filigree pearl clasp. Inside dimensions...16". Matching earrings are of Amazonite cylinders, Fw Pearls, and Crystal.

Carnelian Jujube-like beads, Bamboo Coral chunks, Coral Jade beads, Garnet beads, and Crystals conspire to challenge the Sun God! Towards the back of the necklace, tiny Coral beads are separated by Gold-filled spacers, then tiny Pearl spacers up to the Gold-filled Filigree pearl clasp. Inside dimension...16.5"; Matching handing earrings with their own treasure chest of gems...1.5" long.

Turquoise blue Chalcedony focal Pendant encased in Sterling Silver custom bail,flanked by Sterling silver acorn beads and two Natural irregular-shape Baroque FW Pearls (their nacre is really unreal!), oval Hemimorphite beads, Mother of Pearl ovals, Baby blue-dyed Jade beads, and Swarovski and Czech AB fire Crystals. Finished at back with liquid Sterling silver and Sterling silver spacer beads along with a Sterling clasp. Inside dimension is 17". Matching dangle earrings are a full 2" long.

No less than five Citrine faceted teardrops and one Citrine faceted teardrop Focal, surrounded by Citrine flat rounds, Quartz lemony round beads, creamy buttery Jade round beads, Natural irregular Baroque Pearls and Swarovski Crystals. Tiny yellow-dyed FW round and white round Pearls, 14K gold spacer and corrugated beads, finished in back with liquid gold-filled beads and a Sterling Silver lobster clasp. This necklace has been strung on 24K Gold-plated beading wire to enhance the Citrine beads and drape beautifully around the neck. Matching 2" dangle earrings have Pearls, Jade and Citrine facted teardrops swing freely from the nether reaches! (All the better to grab attention from the dais!) This set is befitting of true royalty!

Watch out for the alligator in this swampy green bracelet. Ooh and the weight of her on your wrist with all her sparkle... you'll never want to take it off! Thank you Eni Oken for the inspiration and technique.

Lots of little beads went into making this one including: emeralds, swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls, apatite, chrysoprase and jade round beads. I wound my beads on fine silver wire.
