~Eagle Flies~

Through the sky...in front of the sun...this beautiful creature speaks to each one of us. The eagle is so symbolic in many ways. This particular pendant has some special meaning for us as well. It pretty much named itself. Blessings... In this intricate and beautiful piece we have used genuine turquoise as the focal. Wire-wrapped with sterling silver around the outside are genuine facted citrine rondelles. Dangling from the bottom are genuine kyanite ovals also wrapped in sterling silver. As in all of our pieces all of the findings are sterling silver unless otherwise noted. This pendant measures just under 3" in length including the bail. The hole on the bail measures 4-5mm. Enjoy!

Euro-weave Necklace w/ Larimar

The basic European weave is a sheet weave that lies flat. It normally bunches up in weird places if you try to curve it. I just learned how to make it curve - it takes various sizes of jump rings & MANY hours, but the finished piece is just gorgeous! Only a certain pendant would do, so I searched around and found this beautifully made Larimar piece. I wanted a distinctive, eye-catching way to show off the pendant, so I made a couple of segments of Jens Pind chain to lock it into place. The necklace is 16.25" long, & closes with a four-strand interlocking type clasp. About 5 troy ounces of sterling went into this necklace, not including the pendant, but the flat chain distributes the weight so well it wears like a dream.

Tale of a Seahorse

I am passionate about mosaics! This is my favorite mosaic works to date. Created with all cold connections. First I shaped and wired together the frame in the shape of my seahorse, then I stitched hundreds of tiny two and three milimeter sterling and blue apatite beads onto the frame using countless feet of hair thin wire. Great detail was given to the eye, which is a tiny faceted blue apatite wrapped in a herringbone cage. The coiled chain is meant to give the impression of waves in the ocean. Gemmy blue apatites add a splash of color between links. I adored this piece ... but he now has a home in New Zeland.

Meandering Hearts Lampwork Bracelet

I couldn't get a good photograph of these beads for the life of me, so I used them in a bracelet. I was worried that the photo wouldn't come out well of the bracelet either but, the photography gods were with me this afternoon and the shoot came out pretty decent.

Faux Cloisonne Earrings

I just finished two pairs of faux cloisonné earrings. The first pair, Elegia, has a beautiful gradation of color from lilac to purple. This is my first experiment with color gradation as a base for my polymer clay cloisonné focal beads, and I am very pleased with the results. Now I want to try other colors. The second pair, Mria, is an experiment with different thickness (gauge) of wire. I wanted to try it for a long time. I think this experiment went right as well, and there will be more designs with these elements in the near future. By the way, “Mria” means “A Dream” in Ukranian.
