Curly waves with 14 carat gold and red sapphire

The soft curves enhanced with a wire and some small balls of 18 carat gold that change all around this cast sterling silver ring are a bliss to the eye and touch. You will find yourself caressing and following its lines over and over. Just to give it that last sumptuous oumpf I added a lovely facet cut red sapphire. It's a brilliant IF quality with a AAA grade color - a perfect stone!

Although this ring is fairly heavy and thick at the top and partly in the bottom, I have designed so cleverly that you barely feel it between your fingers because its soft shapes comfortably smooth themselves a bit thinner along the sides of the ring. This also prevents it from spinning around the finger.

I have filed the surface of this ring in lines following the curves of it -much like fur on an agile and well-groomed animal.

The ring itself was created using the lost wax method. I have only had 10 cast, and all are decorated differently.

Sometimes, a bit of fairytale is all you need to brighten up your day. My jewelry provides this feeling with its soft, flowing, biomorph lines of I.e. silver, gold, pearls, ivory, precious stones and wood. The jewelry sold here is: ONE OF A KIND * EXCLUSIVE * HANDMADE BY ME - and, apart from very few items, all UNIQUE in its most literate sense: There is only one! Once it's gone, it's gone. If you have a personal jewelry dream that is curving along the line of my work, let's get in touch to make it real! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I create all my pieces in my workshop, using traditional goldsmithing techniques. Often I describe how I created a particular piece with pictures in my BLOG: http://phantasteria.blogspot.com Please note that my shipping costs to the US are rather high, due to the fact that they have to cross an ocean. I hope you find my jewelry worth that extra flying trip ;-) All pieces are handcrafted from sketch over silver sheet and wire to final product - with great care and attention to details. A time consuming effort, but it makes for the big difference. There is no "faux", "vintage" or "goldfilled" about my jewelry. It's solid silver. Stamped (whenever possible). With genuine pearls and precious stones. I hope you will enjoy the quality of my work! I create one of a kind pieces and a few limited series, mostly due to the fact that I can't always get more of a specific stone or because I want to keep the design special for those few who wear it. Sometimes I make silver casts of the items I cut from wood, ivory and other natural materials, but also this, I do only once. Why do I only create so few? I get bored by copying myself ;-)
