This is actually my first fumed beads of any kind. Fuming is a process of holding a bead in the fumes of melting metal, in this case fine silver wire. The base color of the cone bead and the tiny dangle beads is dark ivory. The fuming turned the ivory color a yummy carmel color. It also changed the other two colors, coral, and turquoise, a bit darker and richer. I love how it turned out and I'm definitely going to use this process again. Created March 2009.
