I have two jewelry personalities--one wants to indulge the whimsey and individuality of artisan lampwork and the other loves working with gemstones. Sometimes I focus on the gems, others the lampwork and sometimes I manage to put them together. This gallery is meant to show you the 'gemstone' me...the one who likes elegant, rich, precious and semiprecious gemstones lovingly combined for a heirloom treasure. This is me truly romancing the stones and trying to make them sing.

A little romance, a hint of the exotic and this sterling silver bangle is sure to win a place in your heart. Five slender sterling silver bangles are joined together with an elegant sterling bead encrused with amethyst gemstones, add another granulated sterling bead, an amethyst briolette, and a fanta orange spessertite garnet to heighten the sensual beauty of this elegant art for your wrist.

I fell in love with Etruscan jewelry after touring the Gregorian Etruscan Museum at the Vatican in Rome. I love the rich gold color of the hammered metals--the designs and details. While no where close in detail and workmanship, this bracelet evokes a memory of the palette and feel I had for the beautiful art from so very long ago. Granulated 22k gold vermeil Bail beads combine with carved mellon moss aquamarine beads, prehnite, and chalcedony.

Well, it is that time of year--isn't February the month of romance...or rain and mudslides if you live in Southern California like I do. I depart from my subject--this necklace came from trying to figure out what to do with an adorable, quirky hammered sterling heart I purchase some time ago from Alicia Abla--why wrap it in jewels says I! Then the chain needed a little complementing embellishment and voila! Let Me Call You Sweetheart was born!

Luscious lavendar--a perfect springtime bracelet with pink amethyst gemstones. Like the first hyacinths of springtime this bracelet is a first glimpse at my spring gemstone line. Perfect for a spring wedding or evening out--this sparkles with style.

This bracelet seems to me as delicate and delightful as the first tender flowers of springtime. Pastel ametrine carved leaves combine with keishi petal pearls for a feminine and lovely bracelet accented with 22k gold vermeil clasp.

My current love is working with artisan designed lampwork beads, because they are individual, intricate and ever evolving. When you design a piece of jewelry with lampwork it is an original, one of a kind labor of love. Working in this media is a wonderful outlet for my creativity and there is so much to learn that I will be busy for a good while!
A special thanks goes to the wonderful lampwork artisans who inspire my mind and capture my fancy.
