I've had a great time lately putting together some bracelets with artisan hammered links and lampwork. I think it gives me the opportunity to really show off the individual lampwork beads in all their detail and beauty. I've also had a bit of a romance with the heavily oxidized silver that can really make a statement in the right design.

My grandma had a crazy quilt--did yours? A crazy quilt is made up of scraps from other projects in a variety of shapes and sizes...seemingly just pieces together in a random way, but yet a beautiful work of art when completed. Sometimes I am quite sure my life must look like a crazy quilt as well--random experiences pieced together to make me what I am--a wife, a daughter, a mother and friend--creative, frustrated, overjoyed and dejected--growing, learning, laughing, crying, living each day as it comes with hope.

My current love is working with artisan designed lampwork beads, because they are individual, intricate and ever evolving. When you design a piece of jewelry with lampwork it is an original, one of a kind labor of love. Working in this media is a wonderful outlet for my creativity and there is so much to learn that I will be busy for a good while!
A special thanks goes to the wonderful lampwork artisans who inspire my mind and capture my fancy.
