Since Valentine's fast approaches I've put together a series of romantic bracelets from my stash of lampwork combined with some of my gemstones and lovely sterling findings. It's been a long time since I've posted new work, and it's a pleasure to get back to the workbench.

Lampwork by Jena Fulcher combines with carved cinnabar and an ornate sterling clasp. For the perfect finishing touch--a trio of gemstone charms--pink topaz, fanta orange spessertite, and faceted onyx.

A little exotic essence here with the zebra love going on. I think my favorite bead is the encased zebra cube, but I love them all and the pop of pink and orange heightens the drama. This piece combines the lampwork of Jena Fulcher with some other artisan pieces I had in my stash (Corina Tettinger and Melanie Egan). I enjoyed combining so many different shapes into this design--cube, square, disc and rounds. The oversized cinnabar heart makes a nice finishing touch and of course a signature gemstone briolette for good measure. All sterling silver findings assure there is quality throughout.

My current love is working with artisan designed lampwork beads, because they are individual, intricate and ever evolving. When you design a piece of jewelry with lampwork it is an original, one of a kind labor of love. Working in this media is a wonderful outlet for my creativity and there is so much to learn that I will be busy for a good while!
A special thanks goes to the wonderful lampwork artisans who inspire my mind and capture my fancy.
