...jewelry, as in earrings, that is! I've been on an earring jag the past week. Funny thing is, I don't have pierced ears. and can't wear a thing I've made! I have to let my daughter be the barometer of how they look and fit, since I have virgin ears, as far as piercings go!

This is my first attempt at a waterfall style earring. I started with a goldfilled earwire, and a fine goldfilled chain. The focals for this pair are 14mm faceted blue topaz pear shaped briolettes. For embellishments there are apatite teardrop briolettes, lemon quartz rondelles, vessonite heart briolettes and tiny labradorite rondelles for a subtle detail. I love the colors and I'm working on my wirewrapping skills with such tiny beads and ancient eyes.

Sweet carved lavendar pink amethyst teardrop briolettes are simply wrapped onto a goldfilled earwire for a simple, yet elegant pair of gems for your ears. I'm working at my technic of wrapping the hook...somehow the flaws really show in photographs!

My current love is working with artisan designed lampwork beads, because they are individual, intricate and ever evolving. When you design a piece of jewelry with lampwork it is an original, one of a kind labor of love. Working in this media is a wonderful outlet for my creativity and there is so much to learn that I will be busy for a good while!
A special thanks goes to the wonderful lampwork artisans who inspire my mind and capture my fancy.
