This bangle is a bit of a departure for me, but I like the results very much....clean and simple lines, with a touch of bling. I'm finding they can be a subdued or glitzy as I want depending on the charms that are embellishing the basic form, and they look wonderful on the wrist---who knew!!!

So taking the same concept, but adding a little twist...for this piece I've started with two vintage cloisonne bangles that are wrapped together with gold filled wire and embellished with some richly saturated artisan lampwork beads by Catherine Howard that she used enamels to color. The vermeil ball headpins really makes the colors pop and compliments the colors in the lampwork and the cloisonne bangles. I'm thinking Bollywood melodrama here--exotic and bold, but just a little demure.

My current love is working with artisan designed lampwork beads, because they are individual, intricate and ever evolving. When you design a piece of jewelry with lampwork it is an original, one of a kind labor of love. Working in this media is a wonderful outlet for my creativity and there is so much to learn that I will be busy for a good while!
A special thanks goes to the wonderful lampwork artisans who inspire my mind and capture my fancy.
