This is a very dramatic lampwork bracelet using vivid colors, shapes, and textures. I used some new beads in this design - ceramic raku and copper. I antiqued the copper with a liver of sulfur solution that brought out some gorgeous rainbow colors. The ceramic raku beads have a rustic and ancient quality to them giving the bracelet the illusion of great age - as if it is an archaeological find from a long ago time. Plenty of sterling silver beads add richness and sparkle and the clasp is a brand new design and very special with touches of 14k gold throughout. Jasper beads continue the rustic and earthy quality. The lampwork beads from Brody Studio were the focals that sparked my imagination. It was a challenge to coordinate the different colors and beads but it was also lots of fun.

All of my jewelry items are one-of-a-kind creations handcrafted by me for my exclusive line. I use only top quality materials including artisan lampwork beads from local artists - nothing mass-produced. The gemstones are AAA genuine and natural unless otherwise noted. Swarovski crystals, David Christensen furnace cane art glass, and vintage beads are also used. 21 or 49 strand Soft Flex beading wire is used for strength and durability. All silver is sterling - no plated or base metal is used.

My name is Laurie Hyatt and I am a self taught jewelry designer. My fascination with all things that sparkle began in early childhood. I took the graduate course for colored stones offered by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and began selling my own jewelry designs when a friend complimented me on a necklace I made for myself. She said I should consider selling what I make and asked if I would design something for her. Well, I did, and the rest is history. I've been designing ever since. My jewelry designs have been showcased in bead and craft magazines and sold in such top venues as Nordstrom's as well as many small exclusive high-end boutique stores. There is an exquisite thrill in designing something beautiful and knowing that someone, somewhere is wearing it.
