Etched Turquoise and Ivory

Just a few pieces in a series of beaded turquoise and ivory pieces that I've etched with acid for a satiny matte finish. I love the etched effect and especially for this color combination. I use turquoise and ivory glass together often because I like the black outline effect around the designs. This black line is caused from a reaction that occurs when the metals in the two colors of glass are mixed. This black outline makes it look like I worked much harder than I actually did.
I also really love to combine lots of different shapes and textures in my work and these pieces show some really fun and playful examples. The etched turquoise and ivory beads are very popular with my customers and the pieces sell well and I think the reaon is the colors are like denim in clothing, they go with everything.
