I've started off trying to make beads representing buildings for sets of 'prayer beads'.

My interests in arts and crafts began at an early age and led me to focus most of my education on fine art. It wasn't until my early 20s that I became fascinated with technology and manufacturing techniques. The combination of these subjects soon led me to discover silversmithing.
I now design and make jewellery in the UK with a customer base both national and international. Nature is my primary inspiration, I love the challenge of replicating certain things I see, such as flowers and textures, to metal. I have also recently begun producing bead crochet necklaces which are my way of exploring colour, texture and form........
My work can currently be bought on ETSY: http://www.zaira.etsy.com
