I created this large brooch around a sculptural leaf lampwork bead, made by Dancing Frog Jewelry. The bead is secured in plenty of handwrapped solid copper. An oxidized patinae comliments this earthy piece. Tumble polished for a clean polish and durabilty of the metal.

The focal piece is a stamped and forged compass which dangles below the various links. I have added forged and stamped detail to the S-Links, one of which serves as the clasp-closure. The small discs are stamped with directions (SE SW NE NW).

My own handmade toggle clasp with genuine Swarovski pearls is the focal of this necklace. Made-to-fit beadcaps and wirewrapping show these pearls beautifully. Hanging from medium weight sterling silver chain. An oxidized patinae is added to bring out the detail in the silver and contrast the creamy pearls. All rings are hand soldered closed for security.

This Necklace is a very custom order made especially for "Sharon". It is my interpretation of the twists and turns in her life which have made her a very strong and decent human being!
